Closing the gap between climate law and climate action.

Who We Are

Our mission

The Climate Law Accelerator (CLX) is a global hub advancing innovative legal research, education, and action to address the climate emergency.

Our Approach

What we do

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and its burdens are not shared equally. As vulnerable communities experience climate change first and worst, we prioritize them through:

01

Action-oriented research

We analyze underdeveloped areas of climate law, create resources, and support legal
processes to inform policy, litigation, and advocacy.

02

Education as public good

We train students to become the next generation of climate-minded lawyers and create
educational tools for the field.

03

Cross-discipline connection

We foster communities of practice and forge bridges between climate law and other
fields of law, science, and policy.

Who We Are

Our team

As a program of the Earth Rights Research and Action (TERRA) Program at NYU School of Law, CLX’s core team is comprised of TERRA attorneys and scholars and further supported by affiliated practitioners and scholars.
